It all started when…

Cityplotter Suzanne Oommen, who was very busy for about 10 years with urban community gardens and workshops in Amsterdam, felt the need to live a quieter life. Glimåkra is indeed quiet! The village of has a population of just 1200 and is surrounded by farms and forests but it does still host a very diverse mix of people. Places like the community college provides places for them to meet each other and learn.

Suzanne currently offers online workshops. She also hosts workshops in the demo garden she has been growing since 2022. She also hopes to extend the work we do at Cityplot and work with the local people here who are also interested in permaculture and growing organic local food!

Please do visit us in southern Sweden. We are just getting to know some permaculture farms here and would love to hear from anyone in the area who is interested in the kind of work we do in growing edible cities and of course villages.
